The Philadelphia Eagles and United Way will be awarding a Roxborough child welfare nonprofit a $25,000 grant, they announced on Monday.

Northern Children’s Services will receive the $25,000 ”Hometown Huddle Grant” to help with their community-based programs that work with local children.

Only five nonprofit organizations are chosen for this honor every season, according to a press release.

The check presentation will take place on Tuesday during the 17th Annual Hometown Huddle Day of Service on Northern Children’s Services Connell Field from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
