  • Master's Level Practicums and Internships

    Northern offers a variety of practicum and internship experiences for students from local Master's degree programs.

    Internships

    Practicum students and interns provide services in the outpatient and Wellness programs. Candidates are accepted from a variety of Master's programs, including Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Counseling, Social Work, and other related fields.   • Drexel University Co-op

    Northern Children's Services is a university-approved employer for Drexel University's Co-Op program.

    Drexel

    Cooperative education at Drexel enables undergraduate students to balance classroom theory with practical, hands-on experience prior to graduation. ​Students' alternate classes with full-time employment through university-approved employers. Generally, students are on co-op for a six-month period, alternating with six months of classroom study. Co-Op students participate in a variety of programs and departments, including behavioral health programs.   • Other Internships

    Northern intermittently offers bachelors level internships in a diverse range of capacities, from human resources to development and marketing, to finance, to work in programs.

    Internships are unpaid when a student is working towards school credits in the program they are currently matriculating in or paid if not. When available, both types of internships are posted with our employment opportunities.
