Save the Date! Northern's Back-to-School Fair Returns July 31
Northern Children's Services is excited to announce the return of our 4th Annual Back-to-School Fair on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at our campus, located at 5301 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia.
Now in its fourth year, Northern's annual Back-to-School Fair has become a signature community event, bringing together families, local organizations, volunteers, and supporters to ensure children begin the school year prepared and confident.
This year's theme, "Level Up Your School Year," celebrates the start of a new school year by helping children and families prepare with the supplies, resources, and support they need to succeed.
The free community event is open to children and families from across Philadelphia and will feature:
- 🎒 Free backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last; child must be present to receive a backpack)
- ✂️ Free haircuts and braiding for children
- 🎵 Music and family-friendly activities
- 🍎 Snacks and refreshments
- 🤝 Community resource tables
- 🎁 Giveaways throughout the afternoon
Last year's event welcomed more than 300 children and family members, and we're looking forward to serving even more families this summer.
