Bryce Long

As Northern’s Director of Buildings and Grounds, Bryce has more than two decades of experience in facilities management, property stewardship, construction, operations, and team leadership. Known for his practical problem-solving, attention to detail, and commitment to creating safe, reliable, and welcoming environments, Bryce approaches his work with a deep respect for the people and communities Northern serves.

Throughout his career, Bryce has focused on strengthening the physical spaces that make mission-driven work possible. His background includes managing facilities budgets, coordinating vendors and contractors, implementing standard operating procedures, and overseeing preventive maintenance and capital improvement projects. Whether caring for historic properties, supervising construction work, or leading day-to-day building operations, he brings a steady, solutions-oriented approach that supports safety, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Prior to joining Northern, Bryce served as Building and Grounds Manager at Woodmere Art Museum, where he managed a significant facilities budget, guided vendor relationships, and served as a key resource for high-level technical and facilities decisions. Earlier in his career, he owned and operated his own company, overseeing a portfolio of high-end historic properties and coordinating complex projects focused on preservation, quality, and client trust. His experience also includes property management, heavy equipment operations, carpentry, commercial construction, and residential renovation across the Philadelphia region.

Bryce’s leadership philosophy is grounded in service, accountability, and the belief that well-maintained spaces contribute to dignity, stability, and healing. In an organization dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families facing significant challenges, he understands that the safety and care of the built environment are essential to helping people feel protected, respected, and able to thrive.

Bryce earned a Bachelor of Arts in Adult Organization and Development from Temple University, with minors in Criminal Justice and History. He is also an 18-year volunteer firefighter and currently serves with the Wissahickon Volunteer Fire Company, helping protect Ambler, Lower Gwynedd, Whitpain, Upper Dublin, and Horsham.
