Latesha joined Northern as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in October 2023. As COO, Latesha provides strategic management and coordination of the organization's data collection and analysis efforts related to program quality, outcomes, and compliance. Latesha also oversees Northern's marketing and development initiatives.
Driven by a profound belief in teamwork and collaboration, Latesha is excited about this opportunity to contribute her skills, passion, and commitment to furthering Northern's success in ensuring that those in need receive the best possible services. Her professional journey is distinguished by her commitment and dedication to excellence in service delivery. Immediately prior to Northern, Latesha served as Chief Program Officer and Director of Strategic Operations at the Greater Philadelphia Community Alliance (GPCA), successfully leading major contract expansions, including GPCA's selection as a Community Umbrella Agency (CUA), $10M provider of child welfare services in Philadephia. In this capacity, she managed several departments, the recruiting and onboarding of senior staff, and the expansion of major contracts. Prior to the merger between GPCA and United Communities Southeast Philadelphia (UCSP), Latesha worked for ten years at UCSP in various capacities, including Director of Performance and Quality Improvement, Communications and Performance Manager, Director of Afterschool Programs, School and Family Engagement (SAFE) Coordinator, and Truancy Case Manager.
An undergraduate and graduate alumna, Latesha holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Social Work from Temple University. She also holds an Ascending Leadership Certificate from the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute at Bryn Mawr College. A proud graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls (Girls High), Latesha is the recipient of several scholarship awards, including the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Continuing Education Award.
